Thesis Prize of the French branch of ADI/ILA

Call for candidancy

The thesis prize of the French Branch of the ADI/ILA is intended to reward, with a view to publication, a doctoral thesis constituting an in-depth, original and multidisciplinary research work on a subject at the crossroads of public international law and private international law, or transnational/global law. The thesis must be written in French, regardless of the place of defense.

This prize is open to all doctors who have defended a thesis between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.

For its ninth edition in 2025, the jury of the prize is composed of:

  • Marjolaine Roccati, Lecturer in Private Law at the University of Paris Nanterre
  • Maximin de Fontmichel, Professor of Private Law at the University of Paris Saclay
  • Andreas Kallergis, Professor of Public Law at the University of La RéunionThe prize is solemnly awarded at a meeting of the French Branch of the ADI/ILA. The winner will be offered a membership and two years of contributions to the association, as well as a grant of 1000 euros to be used for the publication of the book.

  1. The thesis in .pdf format (file entitled: NAME – 01 – Thesis)
  2. A text of 400 words maximum in .pdf format (entitled: NAME – 02 – Text) showing how the thesis constitutes an in-depth, original and multidisciplinary research work on a subject at the crossroads of public international law and private international law, or transnational/global law. This text must not be a repeat of the thesis summary.
  3. The defense report in .pdf format (title: NAME – 03 – Report) if the thesis was defended in a country that requires the production of such a documentThe application file must be communicated exclusively via the online application form no later than January 20, 2025. The Directorate of Studies of the French Branch of the ADI/ILA may ask candidates to send the printed version of their thesis to the members of the jury who request it.
